Every year looking forward to spring, I anticipate more sunlight along with the appearance of luscious green leaves and fragrant flowers.
This year for the first time in my lifetime, the usual springtime increase in outdoor activities was replaced with stay at home recommendations and shelter in place orders due to the spread of the Covid-19 virus locally and globally.
This has created increased anxiety and depression for many people with limited opportunity to receive counseling and psychotherapy services in the traditional professional office environment.
In response to this crisis, I began offerering teletherapy (also referred to as telehealth and telemedicine) to provide continuity and safety. Teletherapy is the online delivery of speech, occupational, and mental health therapy services via high-resolution, live video conferencing.(Goode and Shinkle 2019).
With this new feature, you can receive most of the services I provide from the safety and privacy of your home whether you are a new or existing client.
